Details

Sonoran Beauty Turquoise from Mexico is stabilized turquoise. Stabilization is the process of hardening stone that is too soft to work with. The stone is heated at120-140 degrees and dries out until it contains no moisture. Then a hardening material is added and the stone is returned to the oven to set.

Twisted wire metalworking is a very old technique used by many Southwestern tribes. It can be found in both vintage and modern pieces.

Seen frequently throughout Native American jewelry, Sterling Silver "raindrops" are a traditional design element. They can be smooth and high polished or they can be starlike and oxidized.

Randall Endito grew up in a family of silversmiths and learned his art from his parents. Born in Gallup, January 1, 1980, to the Tangle Water into Bitterwater Clan, Randall continues to live and work in New Mexico. His clean lines and detailed stamp and scroll work give him a unique style that delights his collectors in the Southwest.
