Sterling silver earrings made with Sonoran Gold Turquoise with brilliant blues and greens arranged in a traditional cluster pattern. Handmade by Diné silversmith Annie Hoskie.
CLUSTER Used for many generations this style of arranging stones is common within Native jewelry. Clusters are typically arranged in a sunburst or "flower" pattern with smaller, evenly spaced stones encircling a larger center stone. However, clusters can also be random, showcasing the stone's natural shapes.
SONORAN GOLD TURQUOISE Mined in Mexico near the city of Cananea this turquoise is relatively new to the industry. Unlike most turquoise Sonoran Gold is not mined in veins but rather as individual nuggets typically found in clay deposits. Accents of blue and gold against a green background make Sonoran Gold Turquoise a great selection for statement jewelry.
