Deep in the Candelaria Hills, the Blue Moon mine grows a pale to medium blue turquoise with a striking black or dark brown matrix running through it. Located in the same part of Esmerelda County, Nevada where the Blue Creek, Broken Arrow, Blue Jay and Miss. Moffet mines are, this beautiful turquoise does also produce a little darker color blue in the very high-grade material. The Otteson family re-opened the mine in 2011, and are producing a variety of great material from this mine.
