Stennich Turquoise

Nevada

Discovered by Gus Stennich in 1929 this Nevada mine produces amazing shades of lime-green and blue turquoise. The mine produced nuggets that were known as “Zuni” nuggets at the time. A hard collectors stone, the mine is found in Crescent Valley, Nevada, near the Fox Turquoise mine. Gus Stennich wrote his will on a bread wrapper, and left both the Stennich and Carico Lake mines to the Edgar family. Gold acquisitions are covering up parts of this mine, making Stennich Turquoise a rare find on today’s market.
